In the meantime, please confirm with your project lead/project manager which time-tracking tool should be used for your project. Most Sonder projects use Clockify to track time.

</aside>

If your project is using Clockify, Operations or Project lead will add you to the Clockify team. Once you accept the invitation to Clockify, you will be able to access Clockify.

👉 Please track your time regularly, at least every month but preferably weekly. You can check project-specific instructions from your Project lead.

There are 3 ways to track your time using Clockify:

  1. Time Tracker: Time tracker tracks your time while you work. To use:

    1. Click time tracker.
    2. On the top of the page, select the project you are working on and appropriate tasks, if required.
    3. Then, click start. Clockify will start tracking your time, and you can begin working.
    4. When you are done working, click stop and Clockify will stop tracking your time.
  2. Time Sheet: On the timesheet, you can enter the amount of time worked in a day according to project. To use:

    1. Click Time sheet.
    2. add project, and appropriate tasks if required.
    3. in the text box for the appropriate day, enter the total amount of time worked on that project for that day.
      1. Please note that there are two ways that you can enter your time: using a decimal point or a colon. For example, for two hours and fifteen minutes worked, you can enter your time as either 2.25 or as 2:15. Take care that you use the correct punctuation, or your time will not be correct.
  3. Calendar: Calendar allows you to enter time visually, in calendar format (similar to Google Calendar). To use:

    1. click Calendar
    2. select a block of time on the calendar that accurately indicates the time that you worked on this project
    3. a box will pop open, where you can confirm the start and end time and select the appropriate project

    Getting your hour report

When it is time to count your total hours, you can go to “Reports” and select “Summary”

    1. Select yourself as the team member, and the project for which you are counting your total monthly hours. In the upper right-hand corner, select the time frame for which you would like to see your hours. For example, September 1 to September 30.
    2. You will see the total number of hours.

👉 To invoice correctly, according to your day rate, please divide the total number of hours by 8.

For most projects at Sonder, 1 day = 8 hours. If your project is structured differently, your project lead/project manager will share this with you.

For example, if your project works on the foundation that 1 day = 8 hours, and Clockify shows that you have worked 142 hours, your total number of days is 17.75
