Our operating environment

We live in a beautiful yet delicate world, made up by human and natural systems.

Between and within these systems there are many interdependencies, due to phenomena like globalisation and technological innovation. This interconnectivity creates new and complex problems, that are hard to pin down and solve as individuals.

Issues like wealth inequality, resource scarcity, and climate change, require more systemic approaches, that focus on the relationships between and within the broader systems and environments they are a part of.

As designers, we create the potential for systemic change by giving shape to ideas through artefacts and experiences.

We do this by exploring patterns of behaviour, power structures, and the mental models that form the systems. Instead of trying to find a singular solution within a system, we aim to locate and influence effective leverage points for broader systemic transformation.

Why are we here

Purpose - what is our added value

We believe in the power of diverse knowledge and perspectives as the platform for change. Our work contributes to making inequities more visible, unheard voices heard and current systems more accessible, pushing us towards new relational systems.

What do we aim to achieve

Vision - what is the desired impact of our actions

We envision a world of plural equitable futures, in which people’s human rights are realised within the ecological boundaries of our planet.
