Zoom Basic is free for all to use. All Sonder members have access to a Premium Zoom account should their work require 40-minute+ calls with more than one attendee.

Please ask all subcontractors to create a Zoom account if they haven't already. If the subcontractor has a Sonder email address, this should be used when creating the account.

Should subcontractors have a Premium (paid) Zoom account?

• Consider whether or not the subcontractors on your project will require a private, premium Zoom account. It may be necessary if they will regularly be hosting calls with multiple people, and that last more than 40 minutes.
• It could also be an option to create one shared premium account for your project. Of course, it depends on how often the subcontractors host calls.
• If you choose to create paid Zoom accounts for the subcontractors in your project, this should be planned into the project budget. A common expense in a project budget is "Digital Communication Platform and Tools".

The cost of a Zoom account is EUR 140 per user, per year.

👉 Coordinate with the Project Finance role to ensure this aligns and is included in your project budget, and then contact the Head of Operations if you require Zoom accounts for project subcontractors.

As with all expenses, this cost should be paid out-of-pocket by either yourself or the subcontractor and can be invoiced to Sonder for reimbursement from the project budget.
