Our values provide a shared understanding of what we consider to be valuable and right, how we want to operate and work towards positive social change. Our values are not a strict list of rules, but instead an articulation of what we believe in.

Our three values Openness, Accountability, and Humility are inseparable from one another. In any circumstance, all values apply - however, each value provides its own distinct lens into what we consider to be the right course of action.
Openness | Accountability | Humility |

We communicate openly, because it builds trust and collective ownership. We support and respect each other, and count on everyone to act with kindness and candor. | We take ownership, because we care about the impact of our work. We are aware of the power of our choices, and make time and room for reflection so that we can do even better in the future. | We seek out plurality, because it makes us stronger. We know our beliefs and understandings can be biased or incomplete; we embrace the fluidity of our perspectives, experiences, positions of power. |
Our values come to life in our actions, as individuals and as a collective. While there are no exhaustive lists that would provide an answer to all situations, together we have created examples of the types of behaviours we believe to reflect our values.
Each project team is encouraged to identify a set of behaviours and ways of working that are aligned with the surrounding local cultures, expectations and the desired outcomes of the project, and are defined by the project team itself.

In addition to our values, we also have a set of non-negotiable rules that we expect everyone to follow, no matter what. Everyone is encouraged and expected to raise any concerns related to these non-negotiables at any time, with Member and Collaborator wellbeing role or any member of the collective. All concerns will be addressed without delay ↴
